I have used the services of Namecheap only recently. I am happy with the price I got for my domain name. For me, their site is much better than other domain name providers that I have experienced before. The service they are providing so far was quite good.

Been very pleased with them have them two years great service. But no phone support. I have moved another domain over and on there side went very smoothly. Would give 5 stars but no phone supports brings down 1 star

I signed up and paid for service. After I began setting up my website with their system, they suspended the account and said I now have to pay another $44.88 to reinstate the account. I got a separate email stating that they also want copies of my bank information and a copy of my drivers license. Another problem is there are no contact numbers for support and though they say the have online support chat, non exists. You can only email them for support. Also, for a web provider, their website is very poor and difficult to use.

Namecheap is just defined by its name. You can buy domain names from this company with a very affordable price. However people suggest me not to use the hosting service. After watching some reviews I can tell that you can definitely use their domain names they are very affordable. I'm also using one.

This company is absolutely useless to deal with... literally the worst customer service I've ever seen!

As a professional IT provider, I deal with a lot of different domain and web services companies and this is, hands down, without a single doubt, the worst customer service I have ever seen.

I'm not dramatising it, I'm completely understating it... I've never seen a company so useless and incompetant at handling the most simple tasks...

They're very good at charging your credit card, but if you need to update your domain records (such as an old invalid email address on a domain whois record), expect them to first try to charge you for a domain transfer (that you don't need)... then expect them to waste literally about ~3 hours of your time trying to accomplish that very simple who is record update... with every excuse under the sun.

Not too mention the security codes that 'don't work' that are only valid for 3 hours...! I've sent them valid security codes to process my request at least 5-6 times... that system is completely pointless (consider I'm emailing them from the email address that they're sending the tokens too).

Also, expect them to say, "please wait 5-10 minutes" at least 20 times...

This company acts in bad faith, I'd say they're verging on scamming their customers. If they can charge you for it, they will... even if it's something that should be free.

Their customer support is completely incompetent and it feels like they're literally trying to waste your time and make you angry.

I couldn't recommend a web services company any less! If I could give them negative stars I would...

If you are stuck in the loop of Namecheap wasting your time and your unable to get your domain details updated, I was able to solve it by using the chat feature to their support and literally refusing to leave until my problem was solved and also refushing to give them any more money.

That was the only way I was able to get my incredibly simple problem solved. In the end the chat session took me about 2 hours to have the matter solved.

They're literally scammers, I've never seen such a corrupt company that treats its clients so poorly... They were actually holding my domain hostage.

They updated the billing, technical and administrator contact; but refuse to update the registrant contact. They were literally holding my domain hostage so that I couldn't transfer it out.

My advice to you reading this... AVOID WORKING WITH THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!

This is Literally THE WORST web services company I've ever seen, hands down... and I deal with a lot of web services companies.

Unfortunately, the quality is as cheap as the name. Their customer service is terrible! Unfortunately they are scammers. Be careful that they can show you things that are not written in their policies as if they exist and confiscate your files, not give them to you, but they can steal from you. It is said that when your hosting account expires, you will not be able to backup your site. I only saw this here. I worked with many companies, these are scammers.
If they wrote in their policies, I would understand in detail, no problem, but there is no detail, a standard explanation and in this explanation they say that we implied this, is it implied? Is it professionalism with implying?

- Read the fine print. There's no Let's Encrypt support; they make you think they offer a free lifetime SSL when they don't. They must be more focused on explaining exactly how it works, instead of "making the sale".

- I created a script to solve my SSL problem. It worked fine in my Linux test environment but failed in theirs live environment. They said they can't allow scripts to run in their shared hosted services. They should be able to review and vet scripts to automate this process.

- They quoted one price and then changed it. Initially, they told me the renewal price for my "Stellar Business" plan was $110, but now they're saying it's $216! That really upset me. I had to escalate the case, and then they said it was about $216 because they had me on a biannual plan, not a yearly one. The level 1 representative in India gave me the wrong price, which was so frustrating, and then ended the chat without my consent. Thus the reason why I escalated. I really miss when the entire team was in Ukraine. With the level 1 team in India, the service has been terrible. I'm never happy with their support now. I used to be very satisfied with their customer support; the move just made it bad. They should move it back to Ukraine.
