At the same dealership, the service quality between locations is shockingly different. One location handled everything for me, including insurance and paperwork, without me needing to say much. However, at another location, they refused to assist me multiple times, even after repeated requests. After the car was repaired, there were still unresolved issues, and they refused to check them, forcing me to go to another location to get things sorted out.

This back-and-forth wasted an entire month of my time, and now I have to return two more times just to complete the repairs. I've already decided not to go back to this location and will switch to a different branch, hoping for better service.

Today I had my 2023 Countryman serviced at Open Road MINI in Edison, and my experience left me extremely disappointed. After getting home, I discovered that the cabin filter had not been replaced as it should have been. This forced me to return to the dealership to have the issue corrected. While the service advisor and manager were very helpful in resolving the matter, my trust in both this dealership and the MINI brand is now nonexistent.

When I went back, I requested that they replace the filters in front of me, and they allowed me into the service area. While I appreciate their transparency, what I saw there was concerning—one of the mechanics was wearing what appeared to be Crocs-style shoes. From a safety perspective, this is unacceptable. A mechanic wearing improper footwear could easily suffer a serious injury, and it raises questions about the overall professionalism and standards at this service center.

It’s also clear that this dealership is severely understaffed and in need of more experienced technicians. While the team was polite and accommodating, it was obvious they were struggling to keep up. MINI USA needs to step in and do something to support these employees because they’re being put in a tough position, and it directly affects the quality of service customers receive.

Other Open Road dealerships, such as Mazda in East Brunswick and BMW in Edison, provide photo evidence when parts are replaced, which builds trust with customers. I hope MINI implements something similar here because it would go a long way in improving transparency and restoring confidence in their service.

Overall, I left feeling frustrated and disappointed. While the staff was helpful, the lack of proper staffing, expertise, and safety measures is a major concern. MINI USA needs to take action to bring this dealership up to the standards customers expect.

An amazing car buying experience at Mini of Edison. Drove over an hour to see a 2019 Mini Countryman S All 4 and they had it ready to go for a test drive as soon as I arrived. Andre my salesman took me on an extensive test drive to see how the car would operate in different driving situations. We went back to the dealership and negotiations went smoothly and yesterday we took delivery of the car. A seamless hassle free buying process makes it worth the drive to Mini of Edison. I would recommend them with great certainty.

Bought BMW X5 from them about 20 days ago , so the sales man Mr. Hernandez was very helpful and through out the process he was above and beyond. Even after taking car home felt there was issue with breaks called them went back service advisor Miss Rachel was also very helpful she took care of the issue right away with out any hesitation. Highly recommended place of buying car used or new I can tell they do care about customers and that’s how every dealership should be. Bought a 2018clubman there a month ago. The people there were nice and helpful and patient. Special appreciation to Ashley, she answered everything for me before and after I bought the car. So far, everything has gone well with the car, they have been honest about the details of the car. Even though there was a little misunderstanding related to the car delivery service because I lived in another state. But everything else was perfect. (not a fake review! Highly recommend this store if you want to buy a Mini Cooper because I have seen a lot of tricks with small private dealers.

Went twice to Mini of Edison for service. Very professional. They will send a video of the details of how they inspected my car , miniclubman. They handed back my car vacuumed and washed&cleaned. Very professional, when they say i might have to wait 2 to 3 hrs, they will deliver the car within that time frame. They never disappointed me, they always deliver. I highly recommend this shop, Mini of Edison.
