Food was amazing! Real Korean food in Panama. The chef is cooking very well and we had a room only for us like in Korea. We were 4 and ordered a lot but it was so delicous that we were able to finish everything. I really recommend this restaurant if you want to discover Korean food.

Food was good. Service was excellent. The place is a little small and quite pricey, but enjoyed the experience and definitely one of the better options for Korean BBQ in Panama.

I will preface this by saying that this is my first time eating at a restaurant that offers Korean cuisine, as well as my very first time visiting this restaurant. Here was my experience, and I'm sorry to say that it wasn't a good one.

I was walking to the establishment and found very cramped stairs. But I began to feel uncomfortable as soon as I walked in, after having my temperature checked and being given hand sanitizer by the employee. I had no intentions of staying at the restaurant to eat, but my goodness, it looked dirty and very unwelcoming.

I was given the menu, which clearly has been touched by many different people without being cleaned, and I was then told I could sit down. The chairs were also dirty in addition to being very worn out. The lady was nice, but the place just didn't seem clean.

The problem I had with the menu is that it does NOT tell you what exactly is in each item (for example, how a burger will tell you it has lettuce, onions, tomatoes, etc.). I did come for a new experience, but I really had no idea what I was eating; I had to guess what I was getting.

As I was looking through the menu, another employee told me about a special they were having (which wasn't on the menu) and showed me on his phone. I acknowledged and thanked him, and he leaves the phone on the table.

I finally place my order, but there was an employee who was behind the tinted door behind the kitchen, staring at me very intensely. I am assuming he was doing this because he thought I was going to steal the phone that the other employee had left on the table.

It was at this point that I become uncomfortable and annoyed at the same time, because it seemed the employee thought that I was going to steal the phone. It's insulting because I'm not a thief and I came with the intention to pay for food I have never tried before, hoping for it to be a positive experience. He really stood there motionlessly and stared at me for three whole minutes without turning away.

I'm just sitting there in a filthy, worn out chair being stared down by an employee in a restaurant that isn't particularly clean.

So they tell me that my food is prepared, and I was not given a receipt; I don't like it when restaurants do not give you a receipt because it doesn't give customers any way to verify the charges. I paid over $30.00 just for two small soups, two small containers of rice, kimchi, potatoes, a small bit of foil that contained what I think was squid, and a spoonful of potato salad. The potato salad in particular bothers me, because other reviews say that the food is authentic Korean cuisine, but as far as I know potato salad isn't Korean at all.

The food is somewhat expensive for what you receive, which is perhaps why they don't really print it out clearly for customers what each item brings, on top of not giving you a receipt. I ate and shared some of the food, but I shortly felt like vomiting and had diarrhea for 3 days.

Basically I paid for food that wasn't completely authentic, was expensive for the amount I was given, and made me sick. Overall, it wasn't a good experience.

If you have never tried Korean food and would like to, or you already have and are looking for a place to eat, I highly advise that you not visit DO-SI-RAC. Stay away from that place and find somewhere better to eat.

Foodwise: Do Si Rac is the most authentic Korean flavor in Panama. As soon as you sit, as customary in South Korea's traditional restaurants, you'll get boricha (barley [iced] tea) and banchan (steamed veggies, beans, kimchi, potato salad, sausages) served in small dishes. The Tukbaegi Bulgogi which is slices of marinated beef stew with dangmyeon (starch [transparent] noodles) in a black clay pot is delicious (served with steamed white rice). Other options that are delicious: curry, dak galbi (stir fried spicy chicken), etc. Some of these are also served with white rice and/or whiterice. The menu has many options that I don't mention in this review. Price range? Medium. Expect to pay $18/person + drinks. They have beers like Hite and the alcoholic beverage Soju.
