If it was possible to give no stars, that's where I'm at with these guys! Not sure it matters for another 1 star review, since everyone else is in the same boat. I'm no tech guy by any means. I run a small business and depend on my email domain from these guys. I renewed a while ago, actually did it 3 times now thinking I must have made a mistake. My email just stopped working because order wasn't processed. I've been a week without this point. I have tried their 15 minute emergency email, their support, their billing, their sales...not a single response.
Lets not even mentioned you cannot get a live person on the phone. If you are thinking of using this company, give your head a shake. My job today will be finding someone else!

They can't even process renewals properly. My website has been down for 3 days now, and I have tried many times to renew my domain name without success.
There is no way to talk to anyone, nor get a callback. I tried the emergency support email (they are supposed to call you back within 15 minutes), sales, billing... Nothing...
Don't ever do business with this company. It is a nightmare.

APRIL 6, 2018 - What appeared to be the company having gone out of business (their domain and hosted domains had no DNS records, and their phone numbers gave a fast busy tone when called), turned out to be a major fiber failure on the part of Cogeco (according to Canaca-Com). They were back up and running by mid day.

I have upgraded the score to 3-star from 1. Over the past year, there have been very few outages, and they have been prompt to get things restored. They have also not increased the price of the hosting service I pay for since I started with them over a decade ago.

I am reluctant to rate them higher because pretty much the only way to get in touch with them is by email. They have a phone number, but the message for service tells you to email them. It is also impossible to get an invoice for renewal in advance of paying. So far, the price has remained the same, so there are no surprises, but every time I have to update my credit card info, I'm wondering just how much the new charge will be until it goes through. Start sending me an invoice 2-4 weeks in advance of the renewal for a better rating.

Incompetent customer service reps, and overall terrible experience with this company... I stopped using their services years ago for various reasons, I owe no balance on my closed account, yet for some reason I keep receiving invoice emails to THREE of my email addresses EVERY DAY for a non-existent account. I emailed them and was told the issue would be resolved. It wasn't. Seriously? It's not difficult to remove email addresses from databases and mailing lists. I can show you how if you'd like. If your team lack the skills do something as simple as that, maybe you all shouldn't be in the web hosting industry...

Absolutely brutal customer service. It is almost impossible to contact anybody. Most definitely impossible to make contact by phone.
After weeks of attempting to contact them to cancel the account, it was automatically renewed and they sent me a message stating that they had the right to continue charging for a year until the next renewal date as their policy doesn't allow cancelling midterm.
Do not register with this company!!!
I happily use godaddy and their service is impeccable.

I had their hosting and after canceling service over 4 years ago, they went ahead and billed my credit card anyway. They sneak in billing charges every 2 years and although they had no authorization to do so, they just did it to my visa for a Dec 2015 which shows up in my Feb 2016 statement. When I asked my card company when was the last time they billed it before that, it turns out they had done the same on Dec 2013 and I did not catch it. If you ever got service from these THIEVES, make sure that you tell your credit card company to put a block on their account. LOWEST OF THE LOW SCAMMERS,

I've been their customer for over 10 years, and I learned early on to use prepaid credit cards for billing, carefully adding only enough to the card to cover the bill. Same with their sister company Acanac.

And every two years, we do the same dance. My card expires before the next billing cycle (it IS, after all a two year cycle). Every time, they send me an email the day AFTER the bill is due, presumably because they tried unsuccessfully to bill my expired card. I then go out and get another card, load it up, and call them. And every time, they suspend my account within the week it takes me to line everything up.

You'd think that after nearly 20 years in business, that they would have created some scripts that sent out notices of impending renewals. And that the script would include a check for expiry dates on the cards they have on file. Just how inept are they? They figured out how to automatically suspend an account the day after the payment attempt on an expired card fails... Surely they can figure out how program a script so they can be a bit more proactive and customer-friendly.

That said, their tech guys have always delivered reasonably timely service, and did so effectively.

If only their billing department could figure out how to conduct business to a 20th century standard (we'll hope for 21st century service in another 50 years if they last that long), I would recommend them to others. Until then, I can only recommend them as a new customer if you really enjoy bad service. Ditto for Acanac - it's the same people.

This company has been hosting for me for over 10 years. Down time hasn't been an issue. I have never had billing problems. They kept my pricing the same, and have grandfathered my pricing structure. I have needed technical support a few times over the years for my sites. I always got quick and helpful responses.
