I had a tubal with Dr. Colter scheduled for this coming Monday. My IUD has no strings and an effort was made to remove it which caused bleeding and pain but I was grateful the ARPN made an effort. Vandy was amazing. I was told after surgery they didn’t even want to give me three days to recover with having four children 2,3,9,11. Along with this putting me behind before exams (I’m in college) and in the middle of a move so my husband would have to literally pick up all the slack! Most offices allow 2 weeks typically to fully recover. When I spoke to Michelle the “nurse” she came off EXTREMELY condescending. She spoke to me in a disdainful manner. I was told that none of that (extra things occurring that I did explain) mattered and just schedule at a different time, which I also explained my insurance is dropped the end of December (she also could care less) She then said I can give you three days, do you want it? I spoke to Dr. Khan’s office and was informed that they indeed would give 2 weeks, which is normal I was told. If Michelle can read this, I just hope and pray you are never in the same position because you reap what you sow and PLEASE ADJUST YOUR ATTITUDE AND PROFESSIONALISM WHILE COMMUNICATING WITH A PATIENT!!!!!

I requested an annual exam with Dr. Colter. I was referred to her by a friend from work. I was hoping to also talk about some issues I was having during the same visit. I was told by doctor colter that this could not be done during the same office visit (even though both the issue and exam go hand in hand). She said she would talk about my concerns but the exam would have to be scheduled separate, even though she admitted that an exam could be requested later on. I pleaded with them that I lived an hour away and was hoping to accomplish both in one visit. They were not willing to be accommodating. I perceived from this exchange that my care as a patient and as a customer, were not the priority of this office. The priority was to bill me and my insurance for two separate visits, rather than accommodate me as a patient and customer.

Dr. Colter performed a hysterotomy and D&C on me, the care was great. Her nurse Tori went above and beyond to assist me in getting insurance approval etc. I would highly recommend them.
