I just popped in the Hampstead branch of Dawsons to have a general chat about what they sold, and whether it was a service I could use. I spoke to Annabel and Babs who were really lovely towards me. I was a little nervous in case I was wasting their time but they reassured me asking questions was OK.
It's so nice to walk into places you wouldn't normally go to and feel welcome.

I was unsure of what to expect when looking to sell jewellery via an auction site, but saw some really good reviews for Dawsons, but I was put off, because their location was listed outside of London, but i was pleased to discover that they had an office in Hamptead, which was a much easier commute.

I originally sent a few photos via email, but it proved quite challenging to get clear shots, so I arranged to visit the Hampstead store instead.

On the day I was unsure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised to find the office straightaway (5 minutes from the tube) and upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed by Annabel, who put me at ease very quickly, explaining the process clearly.

The whole process of reviewing the jewellery and booking them in was very seamless and was completed in less than an hour.

I then received all the details via email within me and I was keep updated throughout the whole process

Out of all my items put up for auction only one piece didn't sell and I wasn't too upset, as it was one of my favourite pieces.

I received the payment promptly and collected my item from Annabell, whi it was nice to see again.

I would thoroughly recommend Dawsons for anyone that is looking to sell jewellery that they no longer wear, but Dawsons auction much more than jewellery, so it's defibetely worthwhile having a look at their website, as you never know what you might have that could be put up for auction.

Having previously used Dawsons for house sale items, we were keen to use them again for the purpose of selling smaller items of jewellery and such. We had no idea what a treasure we would happen upon at Dawsons in Hampstead! Having arrived slightly earlier than our appointment time, we walked in to their super, intimate premises- were greeted very happily and professionally by the staff, who immediately enquired whether our contact appointment person could see us earlier. It was at this point that we met the fabulous Annabel, within a few minutes! As she greeted us, enthusiasm generated from her, before she even knew what we had to auction! She sat with us and spoke incredibly knowledgeably about the wide range of items, some of which were quite ‘niche’. She explained that it would take some time to accurately assess the pieces and, whilst we were welcome to stay- suggested lovely coffee places we may choose to wait at. Anyone knowing Hampstead will realise that the choice of such places is vast, in a beautiful setting where one could happily spend the day! On our return, Annabel had organised every piece in to categories of auction and explained in great detail, the metals, the stones, the approximate age as well as the expected lower/ higher estimate for sale. They had been carefully bagged accordingly and Annabels clear love of her
craft was so evident as she talked and handled the pieces … the Grand Finale was a hugely successful sale, which very accurately represented exactly what we had been estimated! Many huge thanks to you Annabel and, I realise, the amazing team behind you at Hampstead Dawsons!
