Moved My family of 5 and 4 pets cross-country from San Diego in a used RV. We stopped at a lot of places and stayed at a lot of "RV resorts" along the way and this was BY FAR the best one of all. Ended up staying for a month while we looked for a house. Friendly and helpful staff, good facilities and quiet surroundings.

It was a cute little cabin that we stayed in. The previous KOA we were at had a much better mattress on the bed. It was very hard to sleep on this bed due to it feeling like we were just sleeping on the ground. AC barely kept the small cabin cool. My husband is very heat sensitive, so we specifically chose a cabin with AC so he wouldn't overheat. Restrooms are clean enough. I didn't use the shower, but my husband said the water was hot and it did the job just fine. We likely won't be back to this area at any time soon. If we are, we might stay at a different camp ground.

I have camped at this campground for too many years to count. I’ve always loved coming to this campground, the workers, owners and other campers. I volunteered here with activities and whatever else needed done. The disappointment in what is happening to this campground is beyond words. We pulled out on 5/2/24 due to the “new ways” the campground was being run by the new “manager”. I can honestly say I’m glad we left. From my understanding, there is nothing to do for kids except a pool or fishing in a lake that hasn’t been stocked for years, and maybe a band for adults. Every Friday for years and years we had ice cream socials. Every Saturday morning for years we had kids activities or crafts and Saturday night was bingo for all of enough wanted to play. Sundays on holiday weekends was pancake breakfast. All of that is gone. We, meaning my whole family, worked our butts off for this campground. It’s a shame something that was so significant in my family’s life is now gone forever…………………………..for the the record we are the “disgruntled volunteers” as was said to
My husband’s review.

I’ve never left a review of a campground before but our experience was awful to say the least. Owners of the campground came to our door to complain about speeding when we drove at a normal speed, sites are awful, terrible slope with no room to park. Really nothing to do in the area and all service we received from employees was embarrassing. Don’t come here if you want to enjoy camping. Only redeeming thing was the pool which probably hasn’t been cleaned in at least a year.

My response to you Raven, is that you have destroyed this campground! I have been camping here for a very long time and doing work there. My son worked there, my daughter worked there, and my wife and I volunteered. We never had a problem before "volunteering until you came around. Funny how there were activities for every single weekend this summer and now nothing. Christmas in July was a joke! It way just for and old man to have some young girls sit on his lap. We left because of you and what you & Chris were planning to do, funny how all of it has come true! Majority of your workers are gone because you fired them! Took you long enough to figure out how to respond to this! Your name isn't even Raven! You are fake and should not be at this campground "managing" while sleeping with tenants and breaking up marriages!
Watch your mouth replying to me! I'll have to show this to people that shouldn't have to see this....like you did with emails to the owner.....campers did not need to see business!

No activities no nothing. Store is not stocked or opened during peak hours. Staff screaming at elderly people and scaring them. Manager is firing and kicking the monthly people out and her staff and giving 24 hours to leave (illegal). This isn’t a KOA, it’s more like a trailer trash park and swinging joint. KOAs name should never be on that sign, journey or not. Don’t waste your time or money at this dump!

The place was nice last year horrible this year. No bouncy pad, canoes are gone, sand box gone ,pool closes whenever they want to close it, store closes early when they feel like it. The management smoke in the pool area n drink even thou there's signs saying not to. Children 15 are supervising 10 year in the pool even thou it says adult supervision under 15. The 15 is not an adult our 17 was not permitted to watch her 6 year old sister in the pool. Rules seem to apply to only certain people. All the staff that has been there years quit or got fired. They talk about the staff that left. Definitely not friendly. You go in with a problem n are told if you have an attitude they aren't dealing with you. I was there 16 months I pulled my camper out n left a storage container I didn't have room in the camper for. I called to tell them I would be back for it only to find all my stuff thrown in the garbage. All the kids skate boards, scooter, helmets, basketball etc. Quiet time is at 10:00 but hear managers daughter n her friends talking loudly at 12:30. Pets are not allowed at other campers site unless you are the manager. They don't follow rules they make n if you break a rule you're out in 5 days no refund. The activity lady Casey who worked free quit, barely any activities now. Definitely not a good Koa should be renamed to Johns campground. Grass all high roads are terrible. Definitely running down Koa name. I've stayed at many n definitely different. I was told my camp site needed cleaned up when others have garbage, boats, toys n all kinds of junk.

This is a run down RV park that should not be a KOA. Some of the childrens' amenities were not working at all. People complained hair floating in the pool. The road into park on park property has huge pot holes and needs much repair. The site we were in blew our surge protector, and we had to stay in another park 10 minutes down the road to wait for parts as our shore power will not work now. Other reviews from June 2024 said the same thing about power. Staff told us there were power outages, but he was told later not to say anything. Thankfully we had a generator or we would have been stranded without power for a holiday weekend. The sites are anything but level and tires are completely off the ground to balance this. Dog park needs attention. Interior roads need new gravel as most is just fine dust/dirt now creating a complete mess during the rains. Unless a massive overhaul is completed, do not bring a large rig here. 10 years of RVing across the US, and this is probably the worst experience. We felt bad for our neighbors who had to listen to our generator.
