Poor website functionality, unresolved issues and slow customer support
The website functionality was extremely limited and would not cater for selling certain products or services. When help was requested, I had to spend hours on end speaking with the customer service team. I wasted an entire day speaking with them trying to get to the bottom of an issue with setting up my services. For some reason, I could not book a date for my service. After spending hours looking at it, they managed to figure that the calendar was blocked but they could not resolve the situation and unblock it. It was at this point I requested a full refund. They refused because the request fell outside of the "refund window". If you are going to use GoDaddy for your website, I strongly advise against it. It has caused more hassle than good and unfortunately it has been a waste of money.

I very rarely post negative reviews. But GoDaddy are now beyond awful.

I have a problem with a Store that they cannot resolve, their help team either say it will be fixed in 90 minutes so try again, or leave the chat screen hanging so it times out.

Tried to set up an email - usually the simplest of things. Came up with an error message. It has set up the email, but no password and has set it up as administrator - so cannot be recovered. The dashboard for email is not working either.

So I am on the Helpdesk waiting again, to get past the AI nonsense and get onto a person who almost certainly will not be able to help.

I will not spend the time to try and find another provider and transfer the accounts and websites to them

Simply awful! Take your money and run!! No genuine help or support, just relentless emails about things expiring and having to give godaddy more and more money. Utterly atrocious - avoid and use WordPress or another web provider. Godaddy you are a disgrace

Customer services and technical support are non existent. We’ve not had access to any work emails for nearly 2 weeks. Get zero updates and is costing ££ in lost revenue. Avoid at all costs, as soon as an issue arises, no one wants to help. Not even responding to emails….

They literally breach UK law! DONT lend anyone your card to pay Go Daddy! They let non account holders tick boxes for auto renewal despite that wholly breaching UK law! It's a scam! 95% of people who set up domains etc don't have the business survive a year, Go Daddy is reliant on the auto renewals going through for businesses that don't even trade anymore, that is where they get the bulk of their income - ie - non wanted sales! I have sent them a 7 day notice before court and I will sue them in the UK courts for the funds they have illegally extracted from me. I am also reporting them to the FCA for breach of UK law and breach of GDPR. Their staff are rude, smarmy and cocky. I would never recommend a single client uses them again

After a long conversation filled with policy nonsense not lawful conduct - they could not delete my account despite me previously having three domain names cancelled and refunded in fact I hadn't even confirmed my email to the account. They took money from my account without authorization, proceeded to tell me they couldn't refund it. You are welcome to keep the money but it is companies like this with no port of call in which must be held accountable, the principal is the matter so for all I would be very conscientious using a company which chooses to take payments from your accounts with out authority and then says to wait 6 months for the refund that they said they couldn't do in the first place after being told my details have now been removed. Unacceptable practice from a company which seems to have good ratings. I will await email confirmation of the deletion of the account and personal details.

I had a very simple issue to fix. I needed to remove the old Google business account from website to new. For some reason was not able to do so manually as website would automatically connect to old account. Apparently issue was “fixed” and obviously I had to wait for 90minutes to check. It didn’t work. Next day I contacted the support team, spend over 2 H with assistant named SHAKTI and he was not able to rectify the issue, he had senior team, computer expert but no one was able to fix it. And then he got disconnected. Another assistant came on saying she can not transfer me back neither has access to previous conversation. And when I asked for the email where I can escalate my complaint she disconnected
